Crooked Lane is online at the online only New England Film Festival. If you haven’t had a chance to see the short movie, watch it now in preparation for the coming feature length film – a film that answers all of your questions, including “What Happens To Ava?”

Congratulations to Crooked Lane alums Marc Dole, Mark Constance and others for Killing Dinner and Mito Kids also being in the festival!
There is a huge auction of ABC’s LOST merchandise and costumes going on from Season 2.
Crooked Lane alum Brett played Goodwin on the hit TV show. We thought you’d get a kick out of being able to buy a shirt soaked in authentic “Brett Sweat” if you’re a fan.
We’ve highlighted the Goodwin items and auction cover for you below.
Crooked Lane has been selected for the KahBang Film Festival’s Short Cuts category for Fall 2010.

Crooked Lane’s own writer and director Chase Bailey will be addressing the Catapult Seacoast group in their Business Speaker Series. Catapult is a unique organization focusing on up and coming young professionals.
Catapult attendees can hear Chase speak at the June 30th, 2010 event to be held at the 100 Club in Portsmouth. Things kick off at 6:00 PM.
From the organizers:
We are thrilled to have a dynamic speaker like Chase Bailey. We found his story relatable and inspirational. Nowadays, many people are considering complete one-eighties in their career paths, opting to follow their true passions. Harnessing passion and forging it into bankable success is what we encourage our members to do, and this Business Speaker Series gives them a chance to directly ask seasoned professionals how they accomplished that very thing.” said Jamila Lasante, Catapult’s Board Marketing & Communications Chair

We received a note from Mark Constance about a project he did with several Crooked Lane alums:

Brett Cullen, who played Ben in Crooked Lane, has been a busy guy since the film wrapped.
He just finished shooting Monte Carlo for 20th Century Fox with Andi MacDowell, Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester. It’s about three young women vacationing in Paris who find themselves whisked away to Monte Carlo after one of the girls is mistaken for a British heiress.
He’s currently shooting The Gates, which is a new summer TV series for ABC
He also filmed Puncture in Houston with Chris Evans. It’s a David and Goliath law drama about a drug-addicted lawyer who takes on a health supply corporation while battling his own personal demons.
And of course he has the remake of Red Dawn coming out in November for United Artists. A group of teenagers look to save their town from an invasion of Chinese and Russian soldiers.
We were hoping he’d weigh in on the last episode of Lost (Brett played Goodwin in the Lost television series), but unfortunately, mum’s the word for the past and current cast and crew on how things all get wrapped up!
Just a note that Chase Bailey, writer and director of Crooked Lane, often updates the Facebook pages for Crooked Lane and Left Bank Films directly.
He uses his iPhone so he can keep in touch with you even when he is on the go. For example, he is currently in Paris, but has been sharing news with folks while away.
If you don’t want to miss a moment of news from Chase, I highly recommend Liking the Facebook pages for Crooked Lane and Left Bank Films.
That gives you access to Chase, Leslie, Amy, Kit, Thomas and more. Enjoy!
Our own Chase Bailey (writer/director, Crooked Lane) produced the stage version of The Libertine with director Danica Carlson locally in Portsmouth, NH.
Reviews from attendees were excellent, with most dubbing it a must-see production. Of note: Chase was also involved in the film, The Libertine, as a producer.

Crooked Lane’s own Jessica Webb (who played Bev) has been active in a variety of local films and plays since Crooked Lane wrapped.
Earlier this year she was in Rainmaker, portraying the role of Lizzie Curry.
Currently, you can see her in the May production of Hamlet by the GAN-e-meed Theater Project, where she will play the part of Claudius.
She has also been in several local MA and NH short films, such as Dark Scribbles (formerly “Dyslexic Psychic”) by Michael Venn, currently making the festival submission rounds for 2010.
