Marc Dole, daughters Alyssa and Ashley, Chase Bailey, and even myself (Leslie Poston) got in on the action for the filming of Deaf Perception recently. I’m on pins and needles to actually see the final cut! Meanwhile, here is the official description and a link to the trailer on Facebook for your enjoyment:

Written, Directed and Starring Deaf 16 year old twin sisters, “Deaf Perception” tells the tale of some of the prejudice that they observe when they are in public. While the hearing patrons around them are captivated by their use of their hands to talk. A group of immature boys makes fun of the sisters, as the sisters discuss how closed minded people can be. But just as they sign this, they themselves see a new sign.
Marc Dole, who handled VFX and Editing for Crooked Lane, and Chase Bailey are working on Marc’s daughters Alyssa and Ashley’s short film Deaf Perception together. Marc and Chase have also managed to get 52 other locals involved, many of whom are familiar cast and crew from Crooked Lane as well, making this both a family and a film family production.
There was a brief write up of the film in Seacoast Online, and you can follow the film’s Facebook page to see how the project develops.
